Booking and Confirmation
Generally a minimum of two – three days notice is required for corporate orders but we are also able to supply last minute menus from our store.
Weddings and larger events require 2-4 weeks notice though we do suggest pre-booking in advance to avoid disappointment of ‘fully’ booked days. This is especially true during the November and December Christmas period.
Your booking will be confirmed by supplying credit card details and a 20% deposit. Credit card details will be used to process the remainder of the balance after the event unless other arrangement is made with management.
A late cancellation fee of 20% may occur. Final numbers must be confirmed 48-72 hours prior to day of function.
Our menus generally state where a minimum order is needed e.g. Cocktail menu minimum of 12 items.
Food may be presented to you boxed or on platters. Your own platters may also be dropped off prior to your function for plating up by our chef. Instruction for heating and serving will be supplied where necessary when Rocket Kitchen staff will not be present.
Pickup / Delivery and Return
Rocket Kitchen delivers, couriers and allows collection of catering. All catering is to be collected at a pre-arranged time from Rocket Kitchen Ponsonby. Our delivery service is available within central Auckland starting from $20.00+GST. We will quote delivery if required throughout the greater Auckland area. Weekday orders may also be delivered via Deadline Couriers and the associated cost will be discussed with you upon order confirmation.
All boxes, platters, dipping bowls and any utensils are to be returned to Rocket Kitchen the same day or at the latest early the next morning. For next day return, prior arrangement must be made with the Catering Manager.
Rocket Kitchen Ponsonby can also arrange collection of platters by driver or courier with associated charges.
All catering not staffed can be collected from Rocket Kitchen Ponsonby, 234a Ponsonby Road at a pre-arranged time or delivery may be arranged. All boxes, platters, dipping bowls are to be returned the next day.
Hireage and Staffing
Rocket Kitchen can arrange full hireage including tables, chairs, linen, glassware and crockery for your function.
Breakage or loss of any property will be charged to the client.
Rocket Kitchen is proud of the high level of professionalism and skills its service staff provides. We can provide waiters and bar staff at a cost of $25.00+GST per person and chefs at $28.00+GST per hour.
There is a minimum time of 4 hours per staff member. Our staff are attentive, friendly and quietly efficient.
